The St. Cloud Area All-Star Jazz Band Association was founded in 1998 with the goal of encouraging and providing area music students who are striving to achieve excellence with an opportunity to perform with like-minded students. Jazz, an art form that has deep American roots and is culturally significant, is the music of choice. The Jazz medium is both challenging and motivating to students as it provides for both a high degree of creativity and self-expression. The association offers students from grades 7 thru 12 the opportunity to participate in a stimulating jazz experience. Over 200 students have benefited from participating in this program since its beginning. Auditions are held in late summer for our school year session.

For the performance part of our program we have played big and small. From the Twin Cities Jazz Festival and the St. Cloud Lemonade Art Fair, to weddings, private parties and conventions, we can fit any need. The St. Cloud Area All-Star Jazz Band Association is a parent-run, 501c non-profit organization.  Our support comes from student-paid tuition, fundraising and grants.  We would like to thank the Central Minnesota Arts Board for their continued support of our program.
